Dr. Tremayne Waller, Virginia Tech
Tremayne Waller, Director of Graduate Student Programs, College of Engineering at Virginia Tech. Dr. Waller facilitates the recruitment, retention, and success of graduate scholars with a focus on those from backgrounds historically underrepresented in engineering. He received his PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech, and he was a Lecturer and Director of the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program at Cornell University. He and his colleagues received the national Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring. He publishes on college student success and issues of equity and diversity in higher education.
