Sterling Rideout is currently working as Senior Executive for Department of Interior, Office of Surface Mining (OSM). In this position Mr. Rideout is responsible for developing and implementing national policies, guidelines, and technical guidance for OSM as well as managing technical training program, grants, regulatory development and support of technical support for external stakeholders.

Mr. Rideout has over 24 years of experience serving in a variety of executive, management and technical positions for a variety of engineering, environmental, information technology and energy-related organizations in the private and public sector.

Mr. Rideout graduated from Morehouse College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Morehouse College. Mr. Rideout earned his M.S. in Technology Management and a M.B.A from University of Maryland University College.

In addition to serving on the board of directors for CYEP, Inc., his interests include traveling, golf, watching sports, hanging out with family, volunteering, reading and mentoring.
