Class Format

Fathers in Touch is a 12-week fatherhood program that uses the 24/7 Dad Curriculum. The classes meets once a week and participants attended one planned activity each month. The program includes the following topics:

  • Impact of Family History
  • What it means to be a man
  • Discipline
  • Communication
  • Working with your children’s mom and co-parenting
  • Showing and handling feelings
  • Child Support Enforcement
  • Domestic Violence
  • Substance Abuse and Mental Health
  • Class presentations from 3 different professionals (3 separate presentations)
  • 3 Activities with children (1 activity per month). Activities may include a trip to the zoo, cook-outs, museums, library, fishing, and community service projects
