FIT Graduation

Fathers in Touch (FIT) is a 12-week comprehensive program that increases the quality of a father’s interaction with his child(ren) as well as other loved ones. FIT consist of a cohort style class, supervised visitation activities in the community, and individualized case management for enrolled fathers. FIT has five core development areas for enrolled fathers:

  • self-awareness
  • caring for self
  • fathering skills
  • parenting skills, and
  • relationship skills

Fathers explore the physical, emotional, and social development of their children, by interacting with them through highly enriched activities facilitated and supervised by the certified FIT staff members. See our video to learn more about the program.

The role of father has has evolved over the years, and FIT provides fathers with the knowledge and mechanisms to successfully navigate complex times. FIT strives to accomplish the following:

To ensure that all Dads:

  • Become economic providers for their children
  • Become teachers and role models for their children
  • Have direct contact with their children
  • Increase the consistency of quality interaction between a father and his child
