The mission of the CYEP Unite Conference and Career Expo is to provide a free platform to help males of color achieve upward economic mobility. The conference focuses on key success factors for high school, college and adult males of color. The event will attract over 1,000 attendees including: high school and college students, job seekers, business professionals, educators, government officials and community leaders from around the country. The conference and career expo will emphasize the importance of education, STEM career pathways, financial literacy, mentorship, fatherhood, wellness and good decision making to improve economic mobility.
The conference and career expo will lead to greater awareness for all attendees as they explore issues impacting income inequality for males of color as well as solutions and best practices for improving economic mobility.
The conference features a town hall, more than 20 breakout sessions, lunch, a career expo, and the Fairfax County My Brothers Keeper Summit. The event will provide a place of refuge for all students and adults who attend. There will be space for mentorship and resource sharing.
Open to ALL, attendees are exposed to nationally-renowned speakers, presented with informative workshops with applicable and practical information, and able to enjoy an exciting opportunity to network and reflect on who they are and the unlimited potential they possess.
