CYEP, VT CEED, and Basic Research Innovation Collaboration Center (BRICC) provided a week long (6/27-7/1) summer enrichment program for underserved high school students in Northern Virginia focused on STEM, higher education and military career paths. Jesika McDaniel created and implemented a dynamic lesson plan that culminated with project presentations and personal profiles of each student. These amazing students have unlimited potential and promising futures.
All participants walked over to the Virginia Tech Applied Research Corporation to learn more about power dynamic research projects in which Virginia Tech interfaces with other companies to find better solutions. Engaging with current researchers and projects, participants were exposed to technology, engineers and scientist at their workplace.
