Congratulations to the CYEP Project Success Soccer Team for placing 2nd place at the Arlington County 16th Annual Gang Prevention Soccer Tournament. Shout out to Fredy Martinez for leading this initiative to engage Latino youth.
These students from Alexandria, VA participate in group based classes about teen dating violence prevention and sexual health. CYEP uses soccer as a platform to “meet students where they are” and as an incentive to gain exposure to social skill development. The teens learn about communication, teamwork, as well as decision making.
