Erick T. King has dedicated his life to serving others as an executive, volunteer, and public servant. Most recently, Mr. King is a co-founder and Executive Director of the Capital Youth Empowerment Program, Incorporated. This organization was founded on October 10, 2008 as an extension on Coach Tony Pierce's "Fathers In Touch" program. As the Executive Director, Mr. King is responsible for the development and implementation of the fatherhood program in Alexandria, Virginia. He has successfully worked with the Office of the Mayor, Alexandria Juvenile Domestic Relations District Court, and other community based organizations to create a parenting class for fathers and supervised visitation to reunite fathers with their children in Alexandria.

Mr. King has served as a Probation Officer in the Arlington County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court since May 2006. As a sworn officer of the court, Mr. King has provided supervision of juvenile delinquents and status offenders in the community, provided case management, and made recommendations concerning sentencing. Mr. King takes great pride in serving the youth and families of Arlington County. In 2007, Mr. King became the Coordinator of the Arlington County Court Service Unit Intern and Volunteer Program. As Coordinator, Mr. King is responsible for recruiting, supervising, and mentoring volunteers and interns at the Court Service Unit.

Prior to working in Arlington County, Mr. King served as a Probation Counselor in Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court from 2000 to 2006. Mr. King began his career in the juvenile justice field in the Fairfax Juvenile Detention Center. He supervised juveniles and served as the assistant operations manager on a substitute basis. In addition, Mr. King coordinated the summer school program, basketball tournaments, and various other activities for juveniles in the care of the detention center. To gain experience and cross train, Mr. King volunteered at Fairfax County Supervised Release Services and the South County Juvenile Probation Unit from 2004 to 2006. In 2005, Mr. King transferred to the Fairfax County Boy Probation House Transitional Living Program. He provided case management for juveniles living at the group home and assisted them in gaining employment, learn independent living skills, and save money to live on their own.

In 2006, Mr. King became the co-founder and CEO of King Brothers Incorporated. As CEO, with the help of his twin brother and CFO Isaac King, Mr. King began purchasing real estate and providing property management services in the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Virginia. King Brothers Incorporated has served the community by providing affordable housing to three families in the District of Columbia Housing Choice Voucher Program and two disadvantaged families in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

In 2002, Erick and Isaac King began coaching in the 14 and under division of the Alexandria Recreation Department Basketball League. The coaching duo has volunteered for six years and continues to be role models for the youth of Alexandria. The King Brothers led their respective teams to championships in 2005 and 2007. In 2005, the King Brothers became instructors of the Alexandria Basketball Fundamentals School. The brothers make it a priority to develop the future basketball players of tomorrow by teaching them the fundamentals of the game.

Mr. King received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with a concentration in Crime and Deviance and Bachelor of Art degree in Political Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in May 2000.

Mr. King is currently a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Washington, DC. He joined the church in 2003 after being a life long member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Staunton, VA.
